Aware that flamenco is underrepresented in conservatories, Juan Carmona has offered his Sinfonia Flamenca—a work performed by leading French and international orchestras—to the young musicians of the Montpellier Conservatory Orchestra in order to train them in a different approach to performance: the essence of the piece lies not in the score (the duende).
