Zyriab 6.7

This 12th album is a gem. A concept album featuring an exceptional lineup, tracing the journey of the musician-poet Zyriab as he makes stops along the Mediterranean, from oases to caravanserais, traveling 6,743 km from Baghdad to Córdoba. Each stop is a musical invitation featuring an emblematic artist of their country. In this show, the artist thus pays tribute to this musical genius, the inventor of Arab-Andalusian music, in a nod to the “Zyriab Grand Prize for Virtuosos” awarded to him by UNESCO a few years earlier—a twist of fate… The guitarist presents his new take on Zyriab: 6.7.
